One question that may arise in the minds of whomever traversing our website would be as to why is the logo of a bee chosen as a theme for this website. What may be the link between Engravers’ Hive and a bee in a hive? Behold! Now you are about to witness the following facts about our lucky charm, ‘The Bee’ that will fascinate you.

Role in Nature:

The Bee Family plays a significant role in nature. The bee and its hive are indispensable in the natural world, which makes the ecosystem more pretty. Bees are creatures which don’t kill and flourish upon any other living creature for their survival. Bees take nectar and pollen that the plants expel and turn it into this amazing substance called honey. Without bees, pollination of plants would not be much conceivable and the natural world will not have a thriving ecosystem. Our insight in this aspect is recycling and effective utilization of resources.

Role towards Mankind:

They have existed as insects with superior social order for a period far longer than that covered by human history, providing people with many varieties of Products such as honey, royal jelly, propolis, pollen, and beeswax, and due to which the society gets benefited. Our principle in this aspect is Product variety and versatility.

Role in Engineering:

The hive, home of the bees is considered as a teeming multitude of activity. It is one of the wonders of the natural world. Bees build the hive in the shape of hexagon, to create the maximum amount of space with a minimal amount of material. Our inference here is Optimised engraving design. The hexagon is said to be the most efficient in this regard because the circle or octagon create gaps and the triangle or square makes the area smaller. This construction of the Hive is considered a durable structure and also this kind of structure is applied to the design of aircraft wings and the walls of artificial satellites. Our interpretation here is systematic approach to engraving.

The hive is built with an inclination of 9 to 14 degrees right from the beginning of construction to ensure that honey does not leak out when filled. Bees use their own salivated fluid, while building the hive structure and do not harm any other creature during the construction of a hive. Our learning from this is eye for detail.

Bees in a hive can detect changes in air pressure. If it's going to rain and air pressure drops, they stay in their honey comb structure. Our justification from this is proactive engraving solutions.

Honey bees maintain a constant temperature of about 93º F within the hive year-round. As temperatures fall, they form a tight group within the hive to stay warm. Honey bee workers cluster around the queen, insulating her from the outside cold. In summer, the worker bees fan the air within the hive with their wings, keeping the queen and brood from overheating. Our indulgence here is repeatability & reproducibility.
